What is Signature Companions?
Signature Companions is a concierge-style dog matchmaking and training coordination service — not a broker, breeder, or trainer.
We help clients find the right breeder and board-and-train program based on their goals, lifestyle, and preferences. We don’t sell dogs, take commissions, or act as a middleman in your transaction. Instead, we guide the process, handle logistics, and ensure that both clients and partners stay informed, aligned, and supported from start to finish.
What Breeds and Training Programs Are in Your Network?
We’re actively building a diverse network of breeders and professional board-and-train programs, with new partners added regularly.
Because availability changes often and matches are customized, we don’t publish a public list. Instead, we discuss your preferences during your consultation and let you know what’s currently available — or start searching for the right fit if we don’t have it yet. This personalized approach helps ensure you’re only matched with programs that meet your expectations.
How Much Does It Cost?
Our service is priced as one flat, all-inclusive fee that covers breeder matchmaking, training placement, transport, and full coordination — with no hidden charges.
Because each match is unique, pricing varies slightly based on breed, location, training length, and client preferences. We’ll walk you through everything during your free consultation.
Flexible payment plans are available through Affirm for those who qualify.
Are you a breeder or trainer?
No, we are not breeders or trainers. Signature Companions is a concierge-style service that works with a trusted network of breeders and board-and-train facilities to help connect clients with their ideal canine companions. We handle the coordination, communication, and logistics so you don’t have to.
Where do you Operate?
We’re based in Suffolk, VA, and currently serve Hampton Roads and the surrounding areas — including as far as Richmond.
Our breeder and trainer partnerships are regionally based, which allows us to offer a more personalized, hands-on experience for local clients while keeping logistics simple and efficient.
Do you offer shipping or long-distance placements?
At this time, we do not offer shipping or long-distance placements. Our focus is on providing high-quality, locally sourced matches through our vetted breeder and trainer network.
Do you offer financing options?
Yes! We offer financing through Affirm to help make your ideal companion more accessible.
Is there a military discount available?
Absolutely. We proudly offer a 15% military discount for active-duty service members and veterans.
Can I request any breed or training style?
While we do our best to accommodate preferences, we are limited by the breeders and trainers in our current network as well as geographic constraints. We cannot guarantee access to all breeds or all types of training, but we will make every effort to find a close match.
Do you offer in-home training services?
We primarily partner with board-and-train facilities and do not coordinate in-home training. However, many of our partnered training programs offer follow-up options that you may choose to arrange directly after the initial program concludes.
Can you match me with an adult dog?
Our breeder partners primarily work with puppies, so we typically do not offer matchmaking services for adult dogs. That said, we are open to case-by-case adult dog requests, depending on availability within our breeder network.
Do you work with cats or offer cat matchmaking services?
Currently, we do not offer matchmaking services for cats.
